This quest recreates the experience of hunting down the legendary dogs in the wilds of Pokémon Gold, Silver and Crystal. It’s also perfect for any player who wants to add these legendaries to their Pokédex, but doesn’t fancy partaking in a raid. Below you’ll find the Raikou, Entei and Suicune Photo Safari quest steps, along with other methods for catching the legendary dogs during Go Tour: Johto. On this page: To complete this quest, you need to take a photo of Raikou, Entei and Suicune. They will appear in the wild as a very rare spawn when using incense. You can also photo them after battling them in a raid to complete the respective quest steps - which you might find much easier if you’re struggling to find them out in the world! Once you find one of the legendary dogs, immediately take a snapshot of it. We highly recommend taking the snapshot first if it’s a wild encounter, because the legendary dog will most likely flee if you don’t catch it with your first Poké Ball. If this does happen, and you haven’t taken the photo, you’ll have to find that particular legendary again. Having taken the snapshot, you’ll be guaranteed an encounter where you can catch that particular legendary dog. In short - if you can’t catch it now, then you will have a chance after the snapshot is done! It is possible to catch the legendary dogs appearing wild, just very challenging. To increase your chances, use an Ultra Ball and either a Golden Razz Berry or Silver Pinap Berry. Below you can find all of the Raikou, Entei and Suicune Photo Safari quest steps and rewards:
Take a snapshot of Raikou in the wild - Raikou encounter Take a snapshot of Entei in the wild - Entei encounter Take a snapshot of Suicune in the wild - Suicune encounter
Rewards: 50 Raikou Candy, 50 Entei Candy and 50 Suicune Candy. The first is to complete the Raikou, Entei and Suicune Photo Safari - explained above - which, by taking a snapshot of each legendary dog in the wild, will give you a guaranteed catch encounter with each Pokémon. The legendary dogs are also appearing in five-star raids throughout the event. Remember - even remote players can partake in raids now thanks to Remote Raid Passes. Finally, you may be lucky enough to catch one of the legendary dogs when encountering it in the wild. The shiny forms for Raikou, Entei and Suicune have all been released prior to Go Tour: Johto, so, even if you have these Pokémon already, this is an excellent opportunity to add another shiny to your collection. Good luck catching the legendary dogs during Go Tour: Johto!
