According to SteamDB, the game had a peak of 764,835 players in less than a day, already giving it the 7th highest peak of all time. For comparison with current trends, Elden Ring is just behind Lost Ark (~900,000) and Counter-Strike (~840,000). It’s also far higher than previous Soulsborne games. Dark Souls 3 hit a peak of 130,000 players, while Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice hit a peak of 125,000. All this despite Elden Ring’s PC version being somewhat unstable....

It’s fitting, considering both the game and Valve’s handheld are released today. Valve is rating games for the Steam Deck based on compatibility and Elden Ring has received verified status. It’s surprising though considering PC performance of Elden Ring has been heavily criticised. Prior to launch, many were surprised by the high minimum specs required. Tango Gameworks is calling Ghostwire: Tokyo a “supernatural action-adventure thriller”, and its story unfolds in an eerie, haunted version of Tokyo after nearly all the city’s population has mysteriously vanished. Players take on the role of Akito, a young man who awakens in a deserted Tokyo street to discover that strange elemental powers are coursing through his veins - soon revealed to be the work of a spirit known as KK who has possessed Akito’s body....

That’s according to an interview in Animation Magazine with Bruno Danzel d’Aumont, VP of international licensing and marketing at the Paris-based animation studio Cyber Group Studios that’s looking after the series. Arsen Shakhbabyan, an animator who helped make the controversial Aeon Must Die trailer that first premiered during last year’s PlayStation State of Play broadcast, had his attorney file the copyright claim after the trailer re-emerged on publisher Focus Home Interactive’s YouTube channel last month.
