Uncharted’s long-awaited movie version was previously set to arrive in October this year, before Sony optimistically brought its release forward to July. The reports were sparked by photos - originally posted to Instagram back in July - that showed actors in Ubisoft-branded mo-cap suits apparently working on a Marvel project. The images resurfaced yesterday thanks to YouTuber and regular Ubisoft leaker JorRaptor, who pointed out a clapperboard which listed director Bassam Tariq - who is also directing Marvel’s 2023 Blade reboot. Gotham Knights is an open-world single-player and co-op action role-playing game starring playable Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin. The setup is the quartet must protect Gotham following the supposed death of Bruce Wayne. “We have entirely redesigned the combat system in order for it to work well in co-op,” Fleur Marty, executive producer of Gotham Knights, told GamesRadar+. “Of course, we’re still a brawler, and some of the mechanics won’t feel totally alien for people who played and enjoyed the Arkham series, but it is in many ways very different....

We’ve known about this for a while, but we’ve just got a proper glimpse of the game at Geoff’s Summer Games Fest thing. I say proper glimpse - the trailer’s stylish but tricky to read too much into. There’s lots of mantling and side-on platforming and the suggestion that physics and big robots both play a part, so that’s all okay with us. Flashback 2 will be out this Winter on all the consoles and PC by the looks of it....
