I’ve never tried to draw this thing before. And it turns out it’s quite hard. I’m trying to do a drawing of it where I capture the entire outline of the shape without moving my pencil off the page. It’s got to be an unbroken line. That’s hard enough. Then the job will be to move into the outline, as it were, and do all the detailing. Tricky! This, I have been told, is not really a task about drawing anyway....

Healer Mercy received some minor nerfs when the beta test kicked off, such as her character automatically launching into the air when reaching an ally. Now, however, Blizzard is changing it so that you can decide if and when to jump… even though it seems as though that particular ability was a complete accident in the first place....
The option to buy loot boxes will be removed from Overwatch at the end of the game’s current Anniversary Remix event, which wraps up on 30th August. In a blog post on the event, Blizzard noted that its loot boxes have a chance to contain rare items from previous Anniversary and seasonal events, and told fans not to “wait too long to snag those skins you’ve been eyeing for the past year”....

In Pilotwings 64, players will be able to get their hands on a variety of airborne machines as they complete various tasks across its worlds. This includes shooting missiles at a giant robot, as you can see in the trailer below (FYI, it is all oddly sensual). Pilotwings 64 was a launch game for the N64 console and followed the original Pilotwings on the SNES, also available on the Switch....
Reddit user shin is in the process of making a playable demake of FromSoftware’s epic on the original Game Boy. The world of the Lands Between has been shrunk down into the iconic greens of Nintendo’s handheld, now with a top-down view. It most closely resembles the Legend of Zelda games, with its cute pixel characters and sword combat. The clip shin shared on reddit is their take on the Chapel of Anticipation and features not only the first boss (Grafted Scion) but a pixel art Erdtree in the background....
Xbox Series X and S sold well too, though, and Microsoft can point to several strategic initiatives to show that it is playing a long game: its cloud gaming platform, its mass-market play with Series S, its Game Pass subscription service and its recent studio acquisition spree, culminating in the purchase of Bethesda. The acquisitions won’t see full fruit for a couple of years yet, but Microsoft can afford to bide its time and watch these plays gather momentum....
The event, which was announced last month, is styled as a treasure hunt and requires you to look around The Trafford Centre for pictures and paintings of Pokémon. Physical sales of the new game in Japan hit 1.43m within three days of release, according to figures in Famitsu. Animal Crossing: New Horizons remains the fastest-selling game on Switch in Japan, shifting 1.88m in three days. Pokémon Sword and Shield managed 1.36m in its equivalent period. As previously reported, Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the UK’s fourth-biggest boxed Pokémon launch ever. This morning, Argos went live with both the standard disc and digital PS5 consoles with Horizon Forbidden West, and it seems they are still in stock at the time of writing. It’s a great sign for the longevity of the console staying in stock that bundles like these are appearing now, and it also saves you some money when you buy it. The retail price of the Standard and Digital PS5 consoles are £449 and £359 respectively, so you’re paying £50 to get Horizon Forbidden West which costs £69....
The YouTube video, below, from iFixit looks inside the DualSense to find out what is causing the drift that some users have reported. According to iFixit, the DualSense as well as the DualShock 4, the Xbox One and Xbox One Elite controllers all use off the shelf joystick hardware “with a long history of predictable, preventable issues”. iFixit’s investigation found the components in these sticks “could easily exceed their operating life in just over 400 hours of game time”....
As noted in the latest patch, unauthorised items will be given [ERROR] in the name to identify them, which may lead to a warning or penalty on your account. The game’s official Twitter account notes that this process will start “within a few days”. The tweet advises players to “please protect yourself by removing them from your inventory”. Of course, players shouldn’t have unauthorised items in the first place, but through modding some players have been able to access extra items....
