The first event, Sanhok, is now over, but the missions were all fairly straightforward, at least compared to their Fortnite counterparts, with Missions generally requiring you to spend certain amounts of time on maps, travel certain distances, and rack up a certain number of kills. Still, they’re worth digging into if you want to decide whether or not a future event pass will be worth the spend, so below we’ll detail both the Weekly Missions for Week 4, and all the other Missions from the current Event, too....

Interviews with staff past and present has reported emotional abuse suffered under each of their leaderships. All three studios have had games published by Annapurna Interactive, who it is claimed have been unable to deal with complaints appropriately. Mountains, led by Ken Wong, is the Australian studio best known for the game Florence....

Capcom has lauded the remake’s ongoing growth, citing a “digital promotion strategy that incorporated ongoing pricing measures and a focus on sales of the PC version” as the key to its success in passing this milestone. These stats follow on from Capcom’s release of Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil Village’s sales figures. Despite only launching last year, Village has easily surpassed RE3’s remake sales, with the eighth mainline instalment to the series sitting at number 10 in Capcom’s bestselling games of all time....

This reimagined version of Capcom’s survival horror classic kicked off tonight’s State of Play showcase with an eye-catching trailer. As was to be expected, we saw numerous glimpses of Resident Evil 4-esque locations, though it was also made clear this is a somewhat different remake, with plenty that looked new. Here’s that trailer: In an accompanying PlayStation blog post, Capcom explained this new version of Resi 4 would be “familiar to fans of the series, while also providing a fresh feeling”....

Village’s predecessor Resident Evil 7 has also seen an increase in sales to 10m copies, up from the 9m cumulative sales in July. Village, then, is still vying to take the crown. Capcom has been utilising the revived success of the Resident Evil brand to branch into film and TV. Risk of Rain 2’s Anniversary Update - which launches this Thursday, 25th March - is intended to “flesh out and round out the base game”, revisiting old items and finishing up content that didn’t make it into Hopoo’s version 1.0 release. For starters, it introduces a previously scrapped Survivor known as the Bandit (Hopoo notes the scrapped version, which has since been revived by modders, will continue to work alongside the new iteration), as well as an abandoned boss referred to as the Grandparent....

Final Fantasy 11 R - a mobile version of 2002’s PlayStation 2, PC, and later Xbox 360 MMORPG Final Fantasy 11 Online - was originally unveiled back in March 2015 as a collaboration between Square Enix and online game specialist Nexon. Leaked screenshots of the reboot emerged a year later, but the game sailed right through its originally planned 2016 release window with barely a peep. Since then, news on the project has been sparse, but now, some six years after the game’s unveiling, Square and Nexon have finally confirmed what many had long suspected: development has officially ceased....

That’s according to the ever-leaky Jeff Grubb, who shared some fresh Skate 4 morsals from his sources during the most recent episode of his Giant Bomb show Grubbsnax. As transcribed by VGC, Grubb began by saying early word on the game appeared to be positive, with those who’ve played it being “very impressed with the way it feels.” According to Grubb, EA’s goal with Skate 4 is to modernise the series while retaining its much-loved skating core, with some of the new features said to be akin to those seen in the likes of Forza or other modern multiplayer games....

Now it’s in Skyrim, thanks to modder Syclonix (via PC Gamer). The Nemesis and Alternative Death System mod is available on NexusMods and makes “every enemy that defeats you into a unique Nemesis” to create “emergent stories of revenge”. Any enemy who defeats the player is given a unique name, increased stats, and a special buff as an incentive to track them down and kill them for good....

As spotted by Bloomberg Law, the lawsuit argues that the acquisition will give Microsoft enough influence over multiple levels of the gaming industry “to foreclose rivals, limit output, reduce consumer choice, raise prices, and further inhibit competition”. “Microsoft already controls one of the industry’s most popular and largest video game ecosystems,” the suit alleges. “The proposed acquisition would give Microsoft an unrivaled position in the gaming industry, leaving it with the greatest number of must-have games and iconic franchises....

Outriders’ first big patch went live last night on PC and PlayStation 4, and this morning on PlayStation 5, and some players soon reported their inventories had wiped.
