The original release looked good, but the next-gen patch - the Complete Edition - does indeed benefit from enormous improvements. A bulk of the textures and models are reworked, with CDPR contracting PC modder Halk Hogan - who produced the HD Reworked Project mod - to incorporate new, updated assets into the official release. Foliage is improved too, filling out the landscape with more plant life. There are smaller touches as well, like brand-new skyboxes, weather states and lens effects, adding variety as Geralt travels the world....

In an interview with NME, Schafer revealed that when he started making games back in the ’80s, there was “a lot less sensitivity” around, but between developing 2005’s Psychonauts and its 2021 sequel, he’d “learned a lot” and was “thinking about how [his] art will be interpreted by the viewer”. “I thought I’d learned a lot, and then we tested a game, and people pointed out a word and asked if we knew what this word means to certain people,” the Schafer said....

Word that Ubisoft’s free-to-play sports game was nearing the end of its life, despite only launching back in May, came via the ever-leaky Jeff Grubb during a segment on the Xbox Era podcast over the weekend. In reponse, Ubisoft has now shared a statement on Twitter denying those claims and insisting “Roller Champions isn’t getting cancelled”. But while an imminent demise doesn’t currently appear to be on the cards, Ubisoft does say it will be extending Roller Champions’ current season, Disco Fever, in order to “focus on what our players have told us needs improvement”....

Developed by Ukrainian studio Best Way, this release has been delayed in order to “accommodate new features and content suggested by its fans and improve the game itself”. The development team noted that, due to the ongoing effects of the war in Ukraine, these improvements would not be possible to facilitate within the original timeframe. Along with this announcement, the developer also shared a new trailer for Men of War 2....
