Following on from Request 1, Request 10: Wurmple’s Evolved! has some hidden unlock requirements - which we’ll go through before explaining how to evolve Wurmple as part of the quest itself. In short - the Wurmple you obtained for Beauregard in that earlier task has evolved, and there’s some confusion about what species it has become. On this page: If you’d like to learn more about this game, visit our Pokémon Legends: Arceus walkthrough. To evolve Wurmple in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, raise them to level 8 first. Now when you evolve, will then turn into Silcoon or Cascoon at random. This isn’t new for Arceus - other Pokémon games have this same randomised outcome. If you want one particular evolution, then it’s a case of catching and evolving until you get the one you need. Then, from there, both Silcoon and Cascoon have a unique final evolution - Beautifly or Dustox respectively. After that, you will need to carry out several steps to unlock Request 10. First, you will need to catch two more Wurmple yourself. Wurmple can be found in the Obsidian Fieldlands, specifically the Horseshoe Plains, Floaro Gardens, and The Heartwood, at any time of day. Raise these Wurmple to level 8, and evolve them. It doesn’t seem to matter whether they turn into Silcoon or Cascoon - ours both became Cascoon. You may also need to fill in Cascoon’s Pokédex entry - which makes sense with the events of Request 10 itself. Then, speak to Beauregard outside the Galaxy Hall. During the conversation, his Wurmple will evolve - into a Silcoon, or so Beauregard says. A bit of time needs to pass before the next stage. It’s not clear what exactly triggers Request 10 to appear, but it seems to require some in-game time to pass. In our experience, one of us spent a couple of in-game days outside the village and completed an unrelated request, and another was playing naturally (20 minutes pottering in Obsidian Fieldlands) before it did the trick. You’ll know the request is ready when Beauregard says “Haaah… Why would the professor say that?” when you speak to him. To confirm, the steps which appeared to see Request 10 unlock were:
Complete Request 1 Catch and evolve two Wurple, and / or fill in Cascoon’s Pokédex entry See Beauregard’s Wurmple evolve (this step might take place before catching Wurple, but is required regardless) Watch a short amount of time in-game
When Beauregard’s dialogue changes, you can head inside the Galaxy Hall and pick up the request from the blackboard. Silcoon can be found in the Obsidian Fieldlands, in the Floaro Gardens and The Heartwood areas. They’re catchable at any time of day, but not at night. Remember, they’re the white ones! Cascoon can be found in the same areas, but they are pink. When you’ve caught a Silcoon, return to Beauregard. Our Pokémon Legends Arceus walkthrough will help you pick a starter Pokémon and win the Kleavor boss fight. You’re also tasked with filling the Hisui Pokédex by obtaining new evolutions like Kleavor by evolving Scyther, Wyrdeer by evolving Stantler, Sneasler by evolving Hisui Sneasel and Overquil by evolving Hisui Qwilfish. There’s a host of new evolution methods, including ones for the Eevee evolutions. Take the time to complete Requests too, such as The Sea’s Legend, Wurmple’s Evolved! and finding the Wisp locations. Don’t forget to track down every Unown location too. When you show him the Silcoon, Beauregard will eventually realise that these are two different species of Pokémon, and apologise to his Cascoon. Luckily, Cascoon doesn’t appear to be too upset by the mixup. You will gain one Exp. Candy S for completing Wurmple’s Evolved. Congratulations! Here’s how to complete other requests in Arceus:
